Takuya MASAMURA Country Manager – Commercial Business BELL FLIGHT
Takuya Masamura is the Country Manager - Commercial Business, Japan for Bell Textron and is managing Bell’s commercial business in Japan. He is responsible for all aspects of the commercial business for Bell, from helicopter sales to spare parts and other aftermarket services. Before December 2019, Takuya was the Regional Sales Manager for Japan and responsible for the sales and marketing of Bell’s helicopters in Japan. During that time, Takuya was a key member of the Bell team that won the 150 UH-X helicopter program with the Japan Ministry of Defense in 2015. Besides managing the sale and marketing of Bell helicopters in Japan, Takuya also leads the company’s On-Demand-Mobility (ODM) efforts in Japan. He has led the signing of strategic Memorandums of Understanding with Japanese corporations including Sumitomo Corporation and Yamato Holdings to grow Bell’s footprint in the ODM space in Japan. Prior to joining Bell, Takuya was the Sales Director for Asia Pacific at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation. He was responsible for leading the sales team for the new Mitsubishi Regional Jet in the region and for airline sales across South and Southeast Asia. In his career, Takuya started and founded several companies. In particular, he started and ran a company from 2002 to 2008 which obtained the Japanese Air Operator Certificate to support aircraft purchases and charter services as well as operating business aircraft in China. Takuya received his BA in Economics and Mathematics from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. He is an avid American football fan, playing wide receiver for his college’s football team and still actively plays today. Takuya is a FAA Commercial pilot with multi-engine land with instrument rating.
