Mr Praveen PA is the Director for Aerospace and Defence with the Government of Telangana. He drives policy,infrastructure planning, Skill development, Innovation and Investment promotion initiatives for the Aerospace, Defence and Space industrial sectors

He was instrumental in attracting multiple mega investments from Global OEMs such as Safran, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Airbus, GE Aviation, Honeywell, Pratt& Whitney, Collins Aerospace, ITP Aero, Elbit Systems, Rafale Advances systems and Indian majors such as TASL, Adani, Bharat Forge etc. He has facilitated the growth local MSME supply chain for A&D and Space sector in the State taking the number of units from 400 to about 1500 MSMEs in a decade. Many of these MSMEs are now integrated to global OEM supply chains.

During his term, Telangana received the Best State Award from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India - consecutively four times in a row – in 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024, for the "State with most progressive outlook for Aviation and Aerospace Sector".

He has held the additional charge of Director BFSI for a few years and is currently holding the additional charge of Director Logistics within the Government.

Previously held leadership roles in private sector at Business head and COO level, leading strategy, business development and operations functions at NCDEX, IL&FS, HSBC, EFL and Inditrade Capital (Barings PE)

He is an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus and a ‘Chevening Gurukul Fellow for Leadership and Excellence’ from the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford.
